WHY HIRE A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER?
Do you waste time looking for misplaced items or spend money buying items you know you already have "somewhere" in your house but cannot find? Do you avoid inviting people over because you feel your home is too messy and cluttered? The benefits of getting and being organized are undeniable, but for some people the process seems completely overwhelming and unattainable. I work side-by side with you to sort, edit and organize the items in your home to help you create a more efficient and uncluttered living space. Not only will I provide suggestions and solutions to address your immediate organizational concerns, but I will also help create long-term strategies and systems so you can maintain a more functional and peaceful lifestyle moving forward.
ARE YOUR SERVICES EXPENSIVE?
Your clutter is costing you a lot more than you realize; not only in dollars, but also in terms of stress and time. Are you always late because you have no idea where you put your keys? Are you paying for off-site storage for belongings that you haven't used in years? Do you owe late fees on bills you've misplaced and forgotten to pay? Hiring a Professional Organizer can actually save you money in the long run. ClutterBye Professional Organizing offers services at a reasonable hourly rate with discounts available for larger bundles of hours and maintenance packages.
HOW DO WE GET STARTED?
I offer a complimentary 30 minute phone consultation to answer any questions you might have about my services and to hear about your organizational needs. We then schedule an initial visit where I come to you and we together walk through your space. I will evaluate the problem areas and we will formulate a plan to get started. There is no need to clean or try to declutter before I arrive. In fact, it is best for me to see your space "as is" to get a good sense of how the area is or is not functioning. We will discuss what problems you are having and what you would like to accomplish. As we work together, I will offer tips and strategies and suggest ideas and products to address your unique organizational and productivity needs.
I AM EMBARRASSED TO LET YOU SEE MY MESS!
I can assure you that I am not there to judge, but rather to help you create the environment in which you aspire to live. I pride myself on providing compassionate and confidential assistance to help you achieve your goals. Remind yourself that everyone, at times, has procrastinated and felt overwhelmed. While you may see it as a mess, I see it as an opportunity to help you transform and reclaim your space. I appreciate your inviting me into your home to help.
ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE ME THROW ALL MY THINGS AWAY?
I certainly will not make you get rid of anything you are not comfortable letting go. I will, however, engage you in the process of carefully evaluating your belongings to determine what is truly worth keeping. I will remind you that your goal is to live in a less cluttered and more efficient space. Determining what to keep, sell, recycle, discard or donate is a daunting task for many people. Together we will figure out how to reduce the amount of unneeded, unused and unwanted items, as well as how to best organize and store everything you want to keep. I sincerely believe the mantra "If You Don't Love It And Use It, Then Lose It", and I am confident that as we work together you will come to evaluate your belongings similarly.
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND AND HOW DID YOU BECOME A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER?
I have always loved organizing. My husband often tells the story of how I insisted on organizing the playroom WHILE IN LABOR with my youngest son! While I admit that the timing was a bit extreme in that situation, organizing, decluttering and tidying has always helped me achieve an overall sense of calm.
My life and work experience has provided me with the skills and knowledge needed to help others achieve improved organization, time/task management and lifestyle efficiency. Prior to staying home to raise my boys, I worked for more than 10 years as a pediatric speech-language pathologist with children and young adults with a broad range of challenges, including ADHD and Autism. I have a strong drive to help others, a keen understanding of different learning styles and a sensitivity to the fact that we all demonstrate different skill sets.
While raising my boys from babies to teenagers, I further honed my natural organization skills as our Family CEO! It was not until I coordinated moving our family of four to Southern California (and back again within 24 months) and helped my parents downsize from a large house to a condo, that I realized my skill set could benefit others. From this realization, ClutterBye Professional Organizing was born.
I have read, studied and learned about many different organizational methods over the years. While each method has its merits, there is no one "right way" to organize. I rely on my own creativity and natural organizational ability, as well as the knowledge I have gleaned from the many books I have read and coursework I have completed through the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) when I tailor suggestions to each client's unique situation and needs.
I feel fortunate to have found a career that allows me to help people transform their homes and reclaim order, while also providing me the opportunity to do something I genuinely enjoy.
